There is nothing ordinary about Dr. John.

He is an extraordinary, bi-lingual communicator and leader, who lives with his family in a luxurious tree house created using recycled Miso Barrels. He pioneered TreeHab® and Tree Climbing Therapy® rehabilitation programs and founded a number of national organizations devoted to bringing people of all ages and abilities into the forest and parks to climb trees and enjoy nature.

John was recently included in an episode of the NHK World series "Where We Call Home". The episode touches on the story of John's first experience climbing a tree in Canada, his extensive involvement with popularizing recreational tree climbing in Japan, and his pioneering efforts in TreeHab.
